What you need for the tutorial

Open a new image 100x100 with a transparent background.

Draw the outline with the model you can download above. Don't hesitate to zoom.

Here are my colors, but use yours to personalize your result.

Color the outline with your colors, or use black if you want to have a prim result.
I choose to color the outline for this tutorial.

Fill the drawing with lighter colors than the ones used on the outline.

Now we will apply some shadow using the 3D Effects in PSP.
For the effects, I always use the cutout effect.
So you select using the magic wand > Go to Selections and Float. I use Ctrl+F for that.

- Body -

Select the body. Crtl+F

Add uniform noise at 6

Cutout Effect :
vertical : 0
horizontal : 0
opacity : 100
blur : 15
shadow : outline color

- Wings -

Select wings. Crtl+F

Add uniform noise at 5

Cutout Effect :
vertical : 0
horizontal : 0
opacity : 100
blur : 10

- Hands and Feet -

Select hands and feet. Crtl+F

Cutout Effect :
vertical : 0
horizontal : 0

- Face -

Select the face. Crtl+F

Cutout Effect :

Keep the face selected.
Add a new layer.

Draw the cheeks with your paintbrush, choose round and size 8 then lower the opacity of this layer to 80.
Then apply a Gaussian blur at 2.
Add a new layer and put a white dot on the cheeks with your paintbrush size 1. Lower the opacity of this layer to 50.

You're done.
You can now personalize your work as you want.
